Methodology & Curriculum
1. A100- IQRA (Parents and Children Class)
IFA utilizes IQRA method as basic instrument to introduce Arabic al-
phabet to anyone who would like to learn how to read Al-Quran. This method has successfully demonstrated to be one of the best methods especially for non-Arabic speakers. IFA system has designed to com- plete all IQRA levels for 6 months.
2. A200-300—Tajweed (Parents and Children Class)
Reading Al-Quran with correct Tajweed is a must for every Moslem.
To provide with such a knowledge, IFA has been supported by material and qualified teachers.
3. Khatam (Parents and Children Class)
A new monitoring system for Khatamul Quran has been initiated since
2009. Reading Al-Quran at least “one ‘Ain—a day” is set up for every student.
4. A400—Bayyati (Parents and Children Class)
Reading Al-Quran with beautiful voice is recommended.
5. B100-500—Basic knowledge being Moslem (Children Class)
Teaching children for knowing how to perform sholat is a must and shall
be done by parents. This is a part of daily activities of every Moslem including: understanding Six pillars of Iman, Five pillars of Islam and Akhlak.
6. B600—Friday Khotbah (Children Class)
Teaching rukun Khotbah (including the sequence of doa) is included in IFA program especially for teenager (boys). For girls, the program is replaced with delivery speech (ceramah). This also includes the sequence of doa.
7. Tafseer (Parents and Children Class)
8. B800 and Up—Islam Contemporary (Teenager Class)
Moslems in the US face challenges especially for teenager. Confronting Islam Values and “what teenager witness” in western society always be- come debating but need a clear guideline at their ages. Mentoring method is applied for this class.
