IFA Contribution

IFA as a Moslem community try to establish and grow, and it is not just for our family and community. We need to give more contribution to a bigger community surrounding us. We do what we can do, always try to share what we have and realize that in fact, as a Moslem we are a big family.

1. Fundraising
As a part of building Moslem community center in Katy area, members of
IFA actively participate to support the Masjid Katy Fundraising. The sociali- zation was held in Hilton Hotel, April 2008.  And afterwards we still do the fundraising to support the development of the center, playground, and oth- ers.

The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like that of a grain which caused to grow seven ears and in each ear one hundred grains and Allah may in- crease more than that for whomsoever He pleases; and Allah is Bountiful, All-knowing. (QS. 2:261)

2. Indonesian Relief
IFA involved in fundraising activities for Sumatra's earthquake victims. We
hope that the fundraising can help lessen the burden of the people in Suma- tra. The event is food bazaar at Indonesian Consulate in Houston, where all the profit was donated for the earthquake victims (October, 17 2009).

3. Routine Activities
As a part of Moslem society in Houston, IFA is sponsoring routine activi-
ties in Masjid MAS Katy Center. In the past years, we were sponsoring iftar in Ramadhan month and also take a part in Eid Mubarak celebration. Some- how, with all these activities we can build a good silaturahim between moslem.
